One sticker per day, earned by finding a pangram. Your hexwall lives in this browser only.
A silver edge means you found a pangram before using any hint.
A holographic sticker with a gold edge and a clean R CMD check means you found every word without a hint.
How to play ×
Have fun. Be nice. Don't spoil.
Learn and help others learn R.
Make R names from the sticker's six characters. Each name must be at least 3 characters long and use the blue key character. Characters can repeat.
Any function or package name counts, from base R and about 2,100 CRAN packages.
Click a blank in the Environment pane for hints on that word. Blue blanks are well-known words, from base R, the tidyverse, and other packages most R users have installed.
Type or click the sticker. Enter submits, Backspace deletes, and Space shuffles.
Scoring
A 3-character name scores 1 point. A longer name scores 1 point per character, so filter scores 6.
A pangram uses all six characters and scores 6 bonus points, so typeof scores 12. Your first pangram earns the day's sticker for your hexwall.
The full score earns the top rank, R Core. Each day's full score is 80% of the points from the blue well-known words, but never more than half of all the points. So you can reach R Core without knowing obscure packages.
Share of full score Rank
0% Head scratcher
15% Student
30% useR
50% Package author
70% CRAN maintainer
100% R Core
Points past the full score are bonus points.
Hints never cost points. They only change your sticker's edge: silver for a pangram found before any hint, gold for every word found without hints.
Every word found
Words come from the exported functions and packages of about 2,100 CRAN packages and base R. Package titles and help-page titles belong to their authors.
